Soup Secrets - next Thursday!

Soup… it’s what for dinner, these days!

I have been making a soup I call “North African Peanut Soup” for many years, and sell it regularly in our farm store. It’s our best-selling soup and people often ask for the recipe. The truth is, I’ve never written the recipe down and each time I make it, it’s a little different! But, in anticipation of next week’s soup class, on 12/14 at 6pm, I have typed up the gist of this magical soup and am looking forward to sharing it with you all. If you’re coming, that is. :)

And after I make this hearty soup before you, with lots of room for Q&A, we will sit down and enjoy it together.

I’ll also walk you through how to save your own vegetable scraps to make a delicious, nutritious homemade stock that can serve as the base of any soup.

We have a few spots left in this class and I hope to see you there!

What’s up, November!?

Tomorrow, Sat. Nov. 4th, we will be at the annual Veg Fest in Portland and hope to see some of you there! It’s a great community event with food to sample and buy, other non-food items to check out, and organizations and businesses like ours to learn more about. Oh, and speakers, too! Stop by our table and check out our interactive activity, learn about some exciting plans we have in the works that have not been announced publicly yet, and introduce yourself - I’d love to meet you! The free event is at the East End Community School from 11-3.

ALSO - we have just announced three new cooking classes in November and December!
